About Anderson University

Anderson University is an accredited private Christian liberal arts university in Anderson, which is a city in the US state of Indiana, serving as the county seat of Madison County, with a population of more than 59 000 inhabitants, according to the 2000 census estimate.

Anderson University was established in 1917 and it is currently ranked among the best colleges and universities in the Midwest, for the seventh consecutive year, by U.S. News & World Report. It is affiliated with the Church of God and it is also a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities, and the Independent Colleges of Indiana society.

It offers its students a total of over 60 majors in all fields of study, including graduate programs in theology and business, education, music, teaching and nursing, as well as an advance degree completion programs, included in its adult learning programs.

Athletics

Anderson's athletic teams are known as the Ravens and they compete in NCAA Division III and the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference. Their distinctive colors are orange and black and their mascot is Rodney the Raven.
